As we now know, COVID-19 can easily spread between people who are in close contact with one another.  Sonoma County has aligned with California Department of Public Health’s Guidance on isolation.

  • If you test positive, follow the isolation guidance below. Except for those in certain high-risk settings (see below), there is no need to quarantine at home if you have been exposed to COVID-19 and don’t have symptoms. You should, though, get tested three to five days after exposure.
  • Symptoms include fever, headache, dry cough, muscle aches, loss of smell or taste, sore throat, chills, runny nose, nausea, diarrhea, and shortness of breath. If you develop any of these symptoms, schedule an appointment to get tested as soon as possible or use an at home antigen test.
