The Disease Control unit is responsible for the investigation of outbreaks of communicable diseases, surveillance of reportable diseases, and provision of educational materials and services to assist communities in reducing the incidence of communicable diseases.

The Public Health Regional Laboratory is able to test your water for coliforms and E. coli.

Tick Test for Lyme Disease

If you have been bitten by a tick, the Public Health Regional Laboratory can test it for the bacteria that causes Lyme Disease (Borrelia burgdorferi).
