Sonoma County residents can get help with financial recovery from losses during the Glass Fire and Walbridge/Meyers LNU Complex wildfires by applying for two, time-limited, government programs that provide Disaster CalFresh food benefits to eligible individuals and households.

Sonoma County is preparing to support Glass Fire survivors in clearing their properties so that rebuilding can begin. The process of clearing properties consists of two phases.

Residents returning to areas burned in the Glass Fire are asked to visit supply and support stations (also called commodity points of distribution or CPODs) operated by the County of Sonoma and the City of Santa Rosa to receive critical safety information and equipment.

Residents affected by the Glass Fire will be able to access recovery services and resources at a Local Assistance Center (LAC) beginning on Monday, October. 5, 2020.

The County of Sonoma and the City of Santa Rosa want to remind evacuees that while they are understandably eager to get back to their homes and properties, the Glass Fire is still active, and the public must remain out of evacuation order zones until the orders are downgraded to warnings or lifted.

Health officials urge Sonoma County residents to limit outdoor activity due to the poor air quality caused by wildfires burning in Sonoma County and throughout Northern California.
